Congratulations Debra for pursuing a resolution to establish Neighborhood Wildlife Corridors in Martin County's backyards! Resolution was adopted April 16, 2013.
"The Board of County Commissioners do commit and encourage homeowners to plant native plants in their backyard setbacks consistent with the original ecosystems or habitats that were present before development to attract native and migratory wildlife."
Cocoplum chapter is happy to help residents create their own corridor.
